Hasalaka udakubura is a Rural village in the Kandy district and there is no easy access from the main Kandy- mahiyangalaya road. So this waterfall has been kept away from travelers’ eyes. This is a small but beautiful waterfall. The specialty of this fall is you can have the sight of the falling point of the falls from the bottom of the falls.
We couldn’t find enough evidence to discover the meaning of this waterfall, But in Sinhala kombakadulla is the combination of two Sinhala words Komba and Kadulla, Komba is the meaning of shell, And kadulla is the gate created using sticks. So maybe there was a gate in this area and a waterfall named after it.
The water source starting from the wellangolla plain which belongs to the Knuckles mountain range adjoining Hasalaka Oya which joins the Mahaveli river the longest river in Sri Lanka.
