History of the Wewatenna and the plantation

Historically, the land was a tea plantation that disappeared over time. An estate bungalow, part of this history, met destruction by terrorists operating in the south. The specialist residing there remained unharmed, resisting multiple demands to surrender his firearm. Ignoring warnings, the bungalow was forcibly surrounded and set ablaze. Before this, the specialist and his firearm were evacuated, leaving behind remnants of the destroyed bungalow.

The road condition of the lake

The road condition post the Woodside estate descent is notably poor. For those with vehicles not of sufficient height, there is a risk of hitting the ground. Hence, it is advisable to use a suitable vehicle for this journey.
