10 trains including night mail trains will be back to service with effect from 2021-12-27, The above-mentioned trains have been canceled because of preventing the spread of Covid-19. Most of those trains are well famous among domestic travelers

- 5.55 pm – Badulla – Colombo fort Night mail train – Train number 1046
- 3.35 am – Vavuniya – Beliatta , Rajarata rajini express train – Train number (8085/4085)
- 8.45 am – Beliatta – Vavuniya , Rajarata rajini express train – Train number (8086/4086)
- 9.30 pm – Colombo fort – Kankasanthurei, Night mail train – Train number 4089
- 6.00 pm – Kankasanthurei , Jaffna – Colombo fort, Night mail train – Train number 4090
- 9.30 pm – Colombo fort – Trincomalee, Night mail train – train number 7083
- 7.00 pm – Trincomalee – Colombo fort, night mail train – Train number 7084
- 6.05 am – Colombo fort to Batticaloa, Udaya Devi express train – Train number 6011
- 6.10 am – Batticaloa to Colombo fort, Udaya Devi express train – Train number 6011
