Required guidelines for visiting Sri Lanka
Mr. Kirmali Fernando stated that the required guidelines have already been submitted for the health ministry’s approval. According to the drafted strategies, the tourists will have to spend a 14 day stay with the confirmed itinerary. That will be a mandated requirement for requesting VISA via Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) system.
Parallel to this, the hotels will be allowed to facilitate their services for those eligible for 14 days of quarantine. The level 1 hotels will only be qualified for this task as well. If the visitors are willing to stay more than 02 weeks in the country, they will be allowed to remain at the Level 2 accommodation hotels where it is to be certified by KPMG. The tourists who will stay for more than 28 days will use any accommodation service as they are free from any threat. Also, Mr. Kirmali mentioned that the tourists who are willing to pay visits to this island are recommended to use the ‘Visit Sri Lanka App’ to ease their visa application process.
Thank you, Hope you will explore this beautiful island too.
