Sri Lanka to open for commercial flights from 22nd January
State Minister Nimal Lansa mentioned that the country would be open for commercial flights from 22nd January onwards. According to the minister’s further notes, as a special attentive matter on the development of the country, these vital steps need to be improvised under the sup[ervision of the health sector. Minister clearly implied through his speech “We are expecting to let the commercial flights into the country after 22nd of January as the country has to be reopened according to severe health measures”.
Opinion of health officers
Dr. Sudath Samaraweera also stated that there will not be any matter regarding that opinion if the health measures are followed as recommended. He further stated “ Tourism is one of the most crucial ways to boost the economy. Therefore it has to be re-established with health regulations. Also, it is vital not allowing the COVID 19 patients into the country and let them roam freely”.
