Sri Lankan railways Class w3 is a locomotive that can run on any rail track in Sri Lanka. The locomotive is rehabilitated using the class W1 engines which were imported to Sri Lanka in 1969. After 20 years those engines become out of service, SLR officers decide to rebuild the Locomotives with New engines after that SLR have rehabilitated 10 W1 locomotives and named them Class W3.
